Our CEO, Muj Choudhury, founded RocketPhone.ai after identifying a glaring gap during his 11-year tenure at Salesforce and earlier roles at Siebel and Oracle. Despite the rise of CRM systems and telephony integrations, the content of voice calls remained largely untapped. Muj noticed voice and conversations are a huge source of really useful data that businesses weren’t extracting. This realisation became our mission: to harness conversational data in ways that traditional call recordings and post-call analytics never had, closing a critical gap in enterprise intelligence.

To unlock the value in voice, we built a platform designed from the ground up for real-time conversation intelligence. In simple terms, our system does three things exceptionally well:

“We’re the only company today that operates on a real-time basis,” says Muj. For example, if a rep is about to violate a compliance rule or a customer mentions a new opportunity, we can take action immediately. Many solutions analyze post-call transcripts. We work on the waveform itself, enabling richer, faster insight.

Transforming Enterprise Interactions in Regulated Industries

Highly regulated sectors like financial services are where our real-time intelligence delivers extraordinary value. One of our early customers – a top global life insurance and wealth management company – faced massive compliance exposure. With traditional manual reviews, they could audit only 0.0001% of calls. Today, we monitor 100% of their calls in real time.

In just two months, we deployed a system that:

  • Automated compliance detection across thousands of calls.
  • Flagged vulnerabilities and risks as they occurred.
  • Helped reps focus on selling while our AI captured and routed key insights.

If a customer mentioned interest in a product, we instantly routed that lead to the right team, even if the current agent wasn’t equipped to act on it. We also monitored vulnerable customer interactions and handled tasks reps often missed.

“The number one word that we bandy around our company is just trust,” says Muj. We’ve designed RocketPhone.ai with transparency and user control at its core.

In scenarios where a call might be recorded, we listen for consent. If a customer says “yes” to recording, our AI begins. If they say “no,” it stops. These real-time red lines ensure ethical operation and protect reputations.

To combat AI hallucinations and bias, we don’t rely on massive general-purpose models. Instead, we use localised LLMs tailored to each client’s own data, sometimes running on-premise. This ensures accurate, relevant outputs and minimises risks of misinformation or liability.

Our Founder’s Journey and Culture of Innovation

Muj’s tech journey began at age 8, coding on a Sinclair ZX Spectrum. From then on, technology was his calling. After years at Salesforce and other tech giants, he founded RocketPhone.ai to bring visionary ideas to life.

We foster a culture of experimentation: “Just do crazy things and see what happens,” Muj says. Our team is encouraged to propose radical ideas, test fast, and fail forward. That mindset has fueled innovations like our upcoming video meeting connector, which doesn’t just transcribe Zoom calls but analyzes visual content and on-screen materials in real time.

Muj admits the journey has been hard. “If I had the foresight of these last six years… I would not do it,” he laughs. But he doesn’t regret a thing. His advice to other AI entrepreneurs: take the leap. Don’t let fear of failure keep you from building something great.
